Sim for Yes? Vote should be a boolean property.

  1.
    1. Shouldn't the vote property just be a boolean yes/no? When we have international versions of Freebase, including Portugese, the 'sim' will replace the 'yes'.
      1. Well, I think it cannot be a boolean because there are at least 5 different values for a vote on the brazilian congress: yes, no, abstention, obstruction and art.17 (see the vote types list http://www.freebase.com/view/user/fabricio/brazilian_government/brazilian_governmental_vote_type ). And this number can potentially grow as well…

But I don't know, I am open for suggestions, the schema is still a draft, how do you suggest we tackle this different type of votes issue?

      3. Sorry, should have looked deeper in, enumeration appears to be the corect choice for a limited but fixed set of choices.

        Looking good, by the way.

      4. Thanks!

One possible improvement in the current setup would be to merge the individual topics "Sim" and "Não" with the main Yes/No freebase entries if they exist, since it is the same thing :)

      5. Yes, please! I realize that many of your potential contributors are Brazilian, but an English speaker interested in Brazilian politics should still be able to see that João is a Politician who voted Yes on this bill. Ditto for absentention and obstruction (and Art. 17); these are language-independent concepts which have both Portuguese and English names.

We may need a new type for political vote; that could be interesting.
